The Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet is my favorite Fan run convention to attend, bar none. The Mouse Meet is run by the Amazing Don Morin and is held in the beautiful Pacific Northwest city of Lynnwood. Don always amazes us with his ability to get great speakers from the Disney Company or related to Disney. Some times well known names and sometimes not so well known, they never fail to entertain and inform the attendees.
The event start out Friday night at the official event hotel the Embassy Suites. This year’s theme is Aladdin’s Arabian night
festival. There will be a meet and greet event which includes a social get together, pin trading, crafts, contest, a trivia contest hosted by me, and a window decorating contest.
Saturday kicks off the main event with vendors (including your’s truly), autograph sessions, pin trading, cosplay, charity raffle, and of course the presentations.
This year’s speakers are Jeff Kurtti, Ron Clements, and Joe Rohde.
But like all events, it’s the fans that really make this event. The first event I attended was one of Don’s PNW Mouse Treks. He and the other people in attendance made me feel like a long lost family member, and that feel is still there today. You will not be disappointed attending this or any of Don’s events.
Please Note: Russell will be happy to autograph books at any public event he attends as long as it does not interfere with the presenter nor violate any rules of the facility hosting the event.
